I'm adding to my 20 Dates in 2024 album with date No. 11. Although, this is the first page I've made that didn't include the date number!
In this album I follow a formula (1) 4x8 Layout + (1) 6x8 Pocket Page with (4) 3x4 pockets! In the pockets, I include the date, date number and some journaling. If I have ephemera I'll add it. But I don't always have ephemera. I might add extra photos or embellishments in its place.
The colors in the photos or, the colors of the products that I want to use, dictate the page's color scheme. In this case, I wanted to use the pretty floral on that soft blue background. I thought the greens matched up well with the green text on the coaster!

I typically use paper from a Studio Calico travelers notebook, that I cut apart. I pulled the tag patterned paper, floral, and "around town" from the same notebook because I knew they'd coordinate well. I paired it with a scrap of red horizontal paper on the TN page and used a stamp from Elle's Studio for my title. I wanted to balance the title with an embellishment and decided to silhouette a photo of our drinks to use as that embellishment. That wasn't why I originally printed the photo but I'm so happy I cut it up!
For embellishing, I used a few word phrase stickers in that kind of highlighter yellow/green color and clear sequins that I pulled from my stash! I thought the clear sequins worked well with the page because the mimicked the clear acrylic of my glasses. I wish I had a thousand more of those sequins!!!
I have more photos of this page over on instagram @miscpaper. If you're interested in seeing more of this album, they're all under the hashtag #jldatealbum.
Thanks for stopping by! Jamie makes, signing off.
